After hitting a four-game slide, the Bow High hockey team is pulling itself back up with a pair of wins in its last three games.
The latest was a 6-5 decision over Spaulding (1-5) on Saturday. Ben Tobeler scored the game-winner and helped set up his teammates with three assists. His older brother, Ryan, scored three goals and recorded a single assist, and Jake Milecarz led the game with six points on two goals and four assists.
Andy Pascarella provided a strong physical presence on the ice for the Falcons (3-5), and netminder Nate Carrier made 25 saves.
Coach Tim Walsh has noticed improvement since the start of the season for the defending champs, who lost a big chunk of its offensive production to graduation last year.
Nevertheless, Walsh said the Falcons still have a lot of work to do before they can compete again in the upper echelon of Division II. They’ll play Division I’s Bishop Brady on Monday at Everett Arena in Concord.“We made enough plays to win but we have to be better if we expect to beat Brady on Monday and the better teams in our league,” he said.
